Meeting links beyond Google Meet
Calendar sync learned to recognize more meeting links as early Teams and Zoom notetakers took shape.
Read MarkdownDates describe development history and do not verify when changes became available.
Development period: to
Find meeting links pasted into calendar events
Calendar sync gained recognition for Teams, Zoom and Webex join links in event descriptions and locations, alongside the usual conferencing fields.
For example, a Teams link pasted into an event by an Outlook organizer could be recognized even without a dedicated conferencing field. The detected join link also determines the meeting platform, rather than treating every event as Google Meet.
Lay the groundwork for a Teams notetaker
Added the first Teams notetaker implementation and a way to select it for Teams meetings.
This was early integration work, rather than an announcement of when Teams recording became available.
Connect early Zoom audio capture to transcription
The early Zoom notetaker gained support for submitting captured audio for transcription.
This described an early audio-only implementation, not a verified availability date.
